Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Welcome to Cadence. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cadence application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cadence, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Cadence is an AI-powered application that joins your video meetings, records them, and produces transcripts, summaries, and action items. The Service integrates with conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Cadence is designed for individuals and teams who want an accurate record of what was discussed and decided.

3. Recording Consent

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding the recording of conversations, including obtaining the consent of meeting participants where required. Cadence provides tools to notify participants that a meeting is being recorded, but you remain responsible for ensuring recording is lawful in your jurisdiction and for your participants.

4. Account Registration & Responsibility

To use Cadence, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name and email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

5. Subscriptions, Credits & Billing

Cadence offers weekly subscription plans, each of which includes a recurring allotment of meeting credits. One credit covers one recorded and summarized meeting. You may also purchase additional credits individually at the price shown at checkout.

Payment & Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring weekly basis through our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel.

Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period, and any credits you have already purchased remain on your account. Refunds are provided at our sole discretion and only in exceptional circumstances.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cadence to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including recording laws and privacy rights
  • Record or process content that is illegal, harmful, or objectionable
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent

7. Intellectual Property

Cadence and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Cadence and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our name, logo, and branding may not be used without our prior written consent.

You retain full ownership of your meeting recordings, transcripts, and the summaries and action items generated from them. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content, and you may use it however you see fit.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cadence and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. AI-generated summaries and action items may contain errors and should be reviewed before being relied upon.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cadence and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party, including recording-consent laws.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the application. Upon account deletion, we will remove your account information and meeting data from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the application at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
